Getting a client to see your vision is an art form unto itself. It can be extra tricky to get them to buy off on a piece of art that doesn’t even exist yet!

But bear with us. You can do this. It’s been done before.

In fact, a lot of the same points that convinced you to go this route may well work on them: They’re getting something unique that nobody else has, they get the opportunity to help shape the vision from the outset, and in the end you get to know you created something, not just chose it.

Oh, and have you tried style boards? They’re indispensable for outlining a direction beforehand. Very reassuring. Clients love reassuring. And those style boards tend to be followed up by sketches that extra-affirm everything’s on track. Clients love that, too.
