PBS features SHA artist Mark Riedy’s murals at the Wright Company factory

On Dec. 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright (proud natives of Dayton, Ohio, in case you didn’t know) made history with the first powered flight. And this weekend – PBS will be airing The Art Show’s episode #1312, celebrating Mark Riedy’s gorgeous series of murals at the Wright Company Factory.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to see how this artwork highlighted these buildings’ immense historical importance and helped in the ongoing process of revitalizing Dayton’s historic west side.

(It’s also a great chance to see yours truly in a very purple sport coat! My interview ensemble complements the artwork perfectly, if I do say so myself.)

Check out a sneak preview video above, along with the full case study here, including how Mark got his inspiration. And be sure to tune in for the full feature on your local PBS station!
