OLIPOP! Penelope Dullaghan Bringing Yetis to Life.
When OLIPOP introduced the Crisp Apple Yeti, they were expanding their character universe with a new holiday addition.
The campaign concept and narrative direction were already established — a curious yeti wandering into town, discovering a cave, and inviting the audience to help name it. The story later expanded into a playful mini book titled How to Fit in at a Party Even If You’re Literally 10 Feet Tall.
Penelope Dullaghan was brought in to visually bring that character to life within OLIPOP’s bold, expressive brand world.
The Assignment
The task sounds simple: illustrate a yeti.
In reality, it’s about interpretation.
How does this character move?
What makes it feel warm instead of imposing?
How do you match OLIPOP’s existing visual language while still giving the Yeti its own personality?
Penelope focused on nuance — posture, expression, scale, texture — making sure the character felt emotionally readable and consistent across formats, from social assets to storybook spreads.
Her role was to translate the narrative into visuals that felt cohesive, dimensional, and unmistakably OLIPOP.
The Outcome
The Crisp Apple Yeti launched seamlessly into the brand’s ecosystem.
Strong character work doesn’t call attention to itself — it simply feels right. And that alignment between agency, brand, and artist is what makes projects like this successful.
As Sean Dunleavy, Executive Producer at Callen (now part of Omnicom), shared:
“Penelope and Scott were in lockstep with us from the beginning… the final work was stunning. Could not speak higher of Scott and the talent he represents.”
We’re proud of the collaboration and grateful to the OLIPOP and Callen team for the partnership.
