Eric Nyffeler's Work Became Synonymous with These Handmade Cocktails (and more)!

Amalga Distillery puts care and creativity into their products, so naturally they needed an illustrator who could bring the same to their packaging.

“What really drew us to Eric’s work is his process and the texture of his designs. The handmade/paper cut element fit perfectly with our handmade product. There is a familiarity to his work that is visually comfortable but still entirely his own,” said founder Brandon Howard.

The beauty of the art on the shelves has earned Amalga prime shelf space in their market—helping them get even more attention. Of course, to build a brand means doing more than just packaging. “His color pallets and illustrative style resonate well with our customers and work well with beyond packaging. We’ve printed posters, made enamel pins, and enamel camping mugs - they’ve all been wildly popular.”

Eric’s work has even helped them with innovative launches. The recently produced four times more than normal of their Blueberry Gin for a special release. They did this so they’d have it in stock a bit longer than they usually do. But this year the entire stock sold out in just three minutes.

“That’s the power of good design,” says Brandon.
