Mark Riedy has provided imagery and illustrative design to a broad spectrum of clients. From something as small as a commemorative stamp to as large as an architectural installation, you'll find Mark has been involved.
Mark's digital work still maintains the sensitivity of the hand skills he learned while painting and drawing his way through the pre-computer age. "I've always viewed the computer as a tool to help me reproduce what I would have created by hand." This also holds true in his work with type. "There is nothing like hand drawing a letterform to understand its character and essence".
Working as an Art Director and Graphic Designer in the early years of his career, he has an intimate understanding of the creative process and the collaborative efforts that go into producing great art.
In his free time, Mark plays keyboards and sax in a few tribute bands. "It is just another creative outlet," says Riedy.
Mark graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with recognition as the top advertising design graduate. Mark’s work has drawn national acclaim from the Society of Illustrators, the New York Art Director’s Club, Print Magazine and CA Magazine.
