Artist info:
I love the act of drawing, whether it be what's directly in front of me or creating something out of my own memory and imagination. This driving force has been with me since I was five years old and is still going strong. I carry sketch books everywhere I go. I have a background rich in art history, a style rooted in classical drawing and painting, an unending desire to explore new ideas and methods, an intense work ethic, a love of line and form in space, and a passion for creating.
My influences are varied, from Holbien to Diebenkorn to Holland. After receiving my BFA and MFA in Drawing and Painting, I taught college level life drawing, conté and pen and ink drawing, and painting and computer graphics courses, while pursuing and building my fine art and illustration careers. I have been represented by the prestigious Capricorn Galleries in the Washington DC area, known for their representation of the finest American draughtsmen. My drawings and paintings are included in private, corporate and museum collections throughout the United States and have been reproduced in David P. Richards' book, 'How to Discover Your Personal Painting Style', as well as 'The Artists Magazine'.
My illustrations encompass advertising, editorial, portraiture, packing, art and design. My client list includes Coca-Cola, Nike, BMW/Sprint, MLB, Merck, Pizza Hut, Holister, History Shots, Time Inc., Esquire, USA Today, Sony, Samuel Adams, and The New York Times. I have brought my multi-faceted talents to every aspect of my creative work and continue to inspire and be inspired by my environment and family.
